About Checker Cab

Welcome to the Online Checker Cab Club group!

This Checker Cab Club group is dedicated to the preservation of vintage Checker cabs produced from 1922 through 1982. The group is also dedicated to the men and women who worked and applied their trades building automobiles and components at Checker Motors from 1922 until closing in the summer of 2009.

We encourage Checker Cab dialog and fellowship. We invite you to view the archives, learn about the history of Checker Cab, download photos and newsletters, and join the online group. All of the resources, content, and groups featured on this site are free to access and/or join. Our mission is to promote the history of Checker and help you learn more about this incredible brand of cars.

Our goal is to create the largest free online resource and community for Checker Cab fans. Our online group members are Checker Cab enthusiasts, collectors, and Checker aficionados. We support an environment of mutual respect among our readers and community members and encourage sharing of information, resources, and Checker Cab events.

Please Note: We are not associated with the Checker Car Club of America. Documents and copyrighted material featured in the archive/history/newsletter pages of this group are retained under the rights granted by The US Copyright Act of 1976, used primarily for: research, teaching, and library archiving as defined by the “Fair Use” doctrine.
